Mrs. Paulson
is elected
It was “Madam Chairman” at last week’s meeting of the Newport News School Board following the unanimous election of Mrs. John Paulson as first woman head of the sevenmember unit.
Mrs. Paulson has been a member of the school board since 1966. She is the daughter of Mrs. W. C. Campbell of Washington, Va., and the late Mr. Campbell.
Youth service
Morning Worship at Washington Baptist Church on Sunday, August 6 at 11 a.m. will be conducted by the Rev. William A. Harrison of Sperryville.
This will be a program directed toward youth. Special music will be provided by Miss Brenda Printz of Amissville and members of Rappajiannock County High School. □
