Mrs. H.L. Smith
A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Rachel Clair Smith of Alexandria, wife of Harry Lyle Smith, was held Wednesday at the Sperryville Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Malcolm P. Maples.
Mrs. Smith, 62, died Sunday, July 23, 1972 at Alexandria Hospital. She was born in Sperryville, daughter of the late George Washington and Susie Sealock Brown. She was a member of Sperryville United Methodist Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Gossom of Falls Church and two grand children.
Geest Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
