Federal grants totaling $77,900 have been awarded to three state agencies for highway safety programs during the 1972-73 fiscal year.
The allocations are available under the U. S. Highway Safety Act of 1966 and administered by the Highway Safety Division of Virginia, according to Director John T. Hanna.
Two grants totaling $23,300 were awarded the Virginia State Board of Education for driver education programs in the state’s public schools for high school students, out-of-school youths, and adults.
