The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries approved a rail season which will open two weeks later than last year’s during their recent meeting at Burnt Chimney, reports Executive Director Chester F. Phelps.

The season delay was recommended in a report from biologists that flood' tides had drowned early nests and birds were expected to be some two weeks behind in their nesting efforts. The season on all rails will open September 15 and close November 23 with daily limits of 15
