THE APPLE PICKER has been in use for several years but this is the first season for the baler which compacts as much as a ton of hay in a roll. The huge bale is handled with hydraulic fork lift on the tractor.
With this type of harvester the hay may have up to thirty per cent moisture in it and be satisfactory. The bale has a soft center so is more palatable for livestock with less waste.
