Mrs. James F. Massie of Amissville has been named to represent Jackson District on the Rappahannock C ounty School Board. She was selected to serve a four year term and takes the seat formerly held by Ralph H. Rowzie who has served since 1947. Mrs. Massie, in addition to being a full time farmer’s wife and mother of two, has an avid interest in civic and school affairs. She served as president of the PTA of Washington Elementary School and wzts the first PTA president of the present consolidated facility. She is treasurer of the Rappahannock Unit of the American Cancer Society and is secretary of the Rappaliannock Mental Health Chapter and has resided in Rappaliannock for 19 years.
