Given in marriage by her brother, Julian Brown of Sperryville, the bride wore an ivory silk organza gown appliqued in Alencon lace and seed pearls. The bodice featured a mandarin collar and see-through neckline and the straight fitted sleeves came to a point at the cuffline. The skirt had two box pleats in back with a circular, lace edged^ detachable chapel train.
Her three-tiered fingertip veil was herd by a double tiara of Alencon lace and seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of white roses and baby’s breath.
Mrs. Charles E. Overhulser and Mrs. Charles E. Payne, both of Alexandria were matrons of honor for their sister. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Connie Poling of Gaithersburg and Miss Leslie Kushner of Rindge, N.H.
All attendants wore long aqua chiffon gowns designed with scooped necklines and short butterfly sleeves. The fitted bodice was accented by a waistband of deeper aqua flowered trim. They wore matching aqua headpieces and carried nosegays of aqua daisies.
