Named to serve Piedmont Magisterial District an the Rappaliannock County School Board for a four year term is Irvin R. Kilby of Sperryville. This will be the fifth term for Mr. Kilby who has been on the board for 16 years and of that time has been chairman of the group for about 12 years. He is a farmer and orchardist, a native of Rappahannock who is married to the lormer Lucia Zigler of Edinburg and they have two children. They became acquainted at Ohio State University where Mr. Kilby obtained his Master’s Degree in 1948. He was graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacksburg in 1942. He is Quartermaster of Rappaliannock Post 50 VFW and Superintendent of the F.T. Valley Baptist Sunday School. He held a position with Blue Ridge Fruit Growers in Sperryville for a number of years. (
