Commonwealth’s Attorney asked what the $1,100 sum from Rappahannock would be used for. Miller said this was the county’s share for one year’s operations, which at first would include organizational expenses.
“What benefits would we get?” asked Supervisor Herbert Foster.
“Well, we should have access to a staff for planning. ..” ventured Miller. “I’m not an expert on this. Mr. Davis, you’ve been for this up to today.”
GEORGE DAVIS protested that he was neither “for nor against, I’m just wondering.” Foster and Wood said they were, too.
Davis agreed with Miller, however, that “we could lose considerable federal fund sources if we didn’t go in it.”
