American Folklife (SOCI 157) is a survey of the traditional culture of various ethnic groups in America with an emphasis on Southeastern rural Americans. Courses in folklife and folklore are becoming increasingly popular at many college and university campuses. Dr. Perdue is a fulltime member of the faculty of the University of Virginia specializing in undergraduate and graduate courses in folklore and folk life.
