The basketball team and several volunteers sold trash cans -last weekend to help finance the team and buy their, uniforms; If you weren’t asked by at least five players between clas) ses, you’re really missing something. What? I don’t know, but it must have been something. Most of the students purchased one of the trash cans which had Rappahannock Panthers printed on.the side. I don’t blame you. Our Basketball Panthers are great.
SPEAKING of the Panthers, the teams played Stonewall Jackson on the 5th and Page County on the 9th. Although we lost both to Stonewall, our JV’s won with Page County while the Varsity dropped it. These games were exciting and the JV winning score was 51-37. Keep it up JV’s! Tomorrow night we play William Monroe on their court. In a previous game with them the score was 15-16 in their favor after overtime play. We’re eager to see what will happen this time. The game begins at 6:30 and we want a big turn out to support them. □
