LOCALLY, they have performed at the annual Farm Craft Days sponsored at Belle Grove, Middletown, each Summer. They are also among the founding members and performers of the Folk Music Society of the Blue Ridge.
LORD Fairfax Community College is the first community college in Virginia. to offer credit courses in folklore and folklife. Dr. Perdue assisted the local college to design and initiate a series of these courses within the Virginia Community College System. A course on Virginia Folklife is planned for the Spring Quarter.
Registration is now in progress for Winter Quarter courses at Lord Fairfax. The American Folklife course i& scheduled for Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. in Room 29. The first class began Tuesday evening, January 9. Courses may be taken for college credit or may be audited for non-credit by full time or part time students. □
