THE 1972-73 DEER SEASON which ended last Friday resulted in a legal kill of 294 deer. This is the second largest deer harvest in Rappahannock County since specific records have been kept. It also represents an increase of more than a hundred deer over the total taken the previous season. Of the 294 deer taken in Rappahannock, 40 were doe. The last day’s take was 61 and 35 hunters used their second deer tab.
