Dance hall raided
A DANCE HALL NEAR Amissville was raided about midnight Saturday by State Investigators, Troopers and ABC Agents and resulted in the arrest of four people, one a juvenile. William I. Morgan, proprietor of Cross Creek Dance Hall, located on Route 211 east of Amissville, was charged with operating a common nuisance.
Alvin Augustus Jackson of Hume was charged with six counts of illegal sale of alcoholic beverages. Some bottled in bond whiskey in half pints was also confiscated.
JAMES MARSHALL OF WARRENTON was cited for the distribution of LSD, and a juvenile was also arrested.
Monday, three more persons allegedly involved were apprehended. Thomas E. Washington of Warrenton was cited for distribution of marijuana, while Larry Kenny, also of Warrenton, was charged with distribution of heroin, and another juvenile was charged, according to Investigator I.C, Handy. □
