V'AN OLD-FASHIONED country Fourth of July affair is in the works for all Rappahannock resi_dents and the county friends.
The street of little Washington, the county seat, .will come alive with sidewalk shops, lawn bouti'v ques, colorful counters and tables and racks offering bargains galore.
The Rappahannock Library’s Super Flea Market, such a success in 1972, was scheduled again this year because of popular demand.
BIG FUN IS BEING planned that day for everyone in the family. Games for children will be in full swing around the Court House, strolling musicians will entertain among the bazaars.
There’ll be a patriotic program of singing and dancing to celebrate the national holiday in a fitting country tradition; food and drink will be sold all along the street, lawn umbrellas and big shade trees will await the weary shoppers, and 16 different kinds of shops will display and sell their bargains all day long.
“YES, ON WEDNESDAY, the Fourth of July, the Town of Washington will be swinging,’’ says Col. Pete Luke, Chairman of the event. . He adds, “We invite everyone to spend the day, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and hop around with us at the Super Flea Market.’’ □
