Supervisor E. P. (Pete) Luke noted that the county has been spending $500 on this school, “and some of the firemen feel it’s not all that needed.”
Chairman Newbill Miller noted, however, that any request on the'fire school would have to come officially from the County Fire Association. Nothing has been heard, he added.
“It was explained to me that most of the people at the school have been from out of the county,” Luke commented.
Supervisor Herbert Foster said he thought continuing the school was important, for the helpful and life-saving advice it gives the firemen, especially new volunteers.
