Auto 254 — Automotive Service Procedures and Tune-Lp I—is a beginning course and laymen are encouraged to enroll. Subjects covered include setting and replacing points; testing, cleaning and replacing plugs; distributor testing; carburetor adjustment; and proper maintenance of exhaust and emission devices. A more advanced course will follow in the Spring Quarter.
Auto 242 — Automotive Electricity II—is a second course in electrical devices and systems for automobiles, and is concerned with the more complicated devices and* test equipment. To qualify, students must have completed AUTO 241 or have equivalent practical experience.
