Saturday is the main formal day and everyone has' such a good time they come back on Sunday, to hunt at either eleven or one, dressed ratcatcher or any other way they wish to dress. But that is the attitude of the Rappahannock Hunt Club.
“And everybody seems to just ask their friends, come on, let’s go with Rappahannock to hunt. It’s relaxed. But that’s the attitude at Rappahannock. It’s go as you please, but you’ve got to show a little etiquette. Need that for safety.
“After I gave up the mastership of Rappahannock Hunt, Mrs. Alice Marsh— she is the mother of Michael Marsh—she had this big form of 800 acres across the river. Michael loved to foxhunt. And I had my acres, my 600 over here. Both of us loved to hunt and we decided to form a hunt club of our own.”
