Noakes

Clarence Dudley Noakes, 69, of Front Royal died March 3, 1974 in the Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D. C.

Funeral services were conducted at the chapel of the Maddox Funeral Home Wednesday, March 6, by the Rev. Herbert Alford and the Rev. J. Harry Lau. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery in Washington, Va.

Born in Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late William Redmon Noakes and Julia Ellen Pullen Noakes.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ida Jenkins Noakes of Front Royal; three sons, Clarence D.. Noakes, Jr. of Front Royal, Russell B. Noakes of Riverton and William E. Noakes of Huntly; eight daughters, Mrs. Doris Woodward of Stanley, Mrs. Mary Ellen Parker of Woodbrxdge, Mrs. Marie Groninger of Greensboro, N, C., Mrs. Shirley Vaught
