ELECTION of officers to guide the formation of the proposed Youth Center will be the main item of business at an organizational meeting of the Rappahannock County Recreation Center Association at 8 p.m. on Monday, March 18, in the auditorium of the elementary school.
Granville Eastham, temporary chairman of the association, said the meeting will also seek to activate several committees, including an organization and executive committee, plus several specialized groups to deal with certain specific aspects of the development of the Youth Centersuch as fund raising, site selection and improvement, facility and planning, programs and counseling, and publicity and public relations.
Another committee would compile a listing of all existing recreation facilities in the county for use in determing what new or additional activities are most needed in the new center.
