comes the Old Dominion Hunt Cup, owner-rider timber steeplechase. With his victory at Middleburg last week, William ‘‘Mike’ duPont’s Estremadura now is the leader in this annual competition for the Seven Corners trophy with 15 points to runner-up Randy Rouse’s Cousin Wes with 10 points. Randy Waterman’s Conserje, Jack Griswold’s Beech Prince and Roy ‘‘Tennessee” Graham’s Boca Bird are tied for third with five points each.
The Meeting House Mt. Plate, named for the mountain that forms a backdrop for the course, is the final race on the turf.
General admission to Old Dominion Hunt’s races is $3 with children under 12 free. Subscriptions are $15, and special parking spaces on the first row (which includes the $15 subscription) are $30. Refreshments will be available. For additional information call 364-2317.
