Kick-off
The kick-off luncheon for the Crusade Drive of the Rappahannock Unit of the American Cancer Society was held March 29 at the Trinity Episcopal Church.
Special guests were the First Lady of Virginia, Mrs. John Dalton; Executive Board member, Mrs. Pinson Neal; State Crusade Chairman, Cecil King; and A.C.S. personnel members, Mrs. Fran Southall and Mrs. Virginia Schneider.
The high point of the luncheon was an original skit presented by Mr. Dalton and Mrs. Neal. There will be only six presentations of this skit throughout the entire state, which added to the appreciation of their efforts.
Mrs. Dalton also announced that Governor Dalton had signed a special proclamation naming April "Crusade Month” for Virginia.
