The new Rappahannock Mental Health Clinic has opened its doors at offices in the renovated Clopton house next door to Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington and office manager Becky Burke is handling operations there front a card table until furniture is delivered.
Mrs. Burke and Jim McGarvey will be the only full-time staff at the clinic.
Dog Show Set
The Culpeper Animal Welfare League will sponsor its second annual dog show at Mountain Run Lake Park on August 27. Any breed of dog registered with the American Kennel Club is eligible for competition. Registration at $2.50 per dog will be held between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. with the show beginning at 11 a.m.
Admission is free and the public is invited. Sandwiches and soft drinks will be available at the grounds located off Route 29 on Route 718. For further information, contact Mrs. Wilson at 825-2610. Proceeds from the all-breed fun match will benefit the Culpeper Animal Shelter.
