Frequent review would also make it easier to determine if there were problems with how material was being presented. “It doesn’t take two months for a teacher to find out if Johnny’s having trouble with fractions,” she said.
The Board members voted unanimously to hold a monthly review of the goals and objectives established for the coming school year. Mrs. Massie agreed to compile a list including each Board member’s concerns so priorities could be established from the list at next month’s meeting.
Work Calendar
The Board also approved a work calendar for the coming year, designed to give School Board members a month’s time for review of special programs before voting for adoption. In September, the Board will consider priorities for capital outlay and set a date for a meeting with the Board of Supervisors to discuss building projects.
