Another new faculty

Another new faculty member is Peter Quinn, who has been appointed to teach English and Physical education in the middle grades. Mr. Quinn was recently graduated from Washington and Lee University with a B.A. Degree in English and the Senior Award for Leadership. He earlier attended the Episcopal Academy in Philadelphia where his father was Headmaster. His grandfather, the late Dr. Albert Lucas of Huntly, was a longtime headmaster of St. Albans School in Washington, D. C.

Mrs. Donatienne La Rolle Von Ludwig has been appointed to Wakefield’s French faculty. A native of Paris, France, she was graduated from the Lycee Fenelon and from the Sorbonne, and has taught in France and in New York.

Mrs. Waltraud Hornick will join the Wakefield faculty as instructor of German and elementary French. A native of Bavaria, West Germany, she received a B. S. in Education from the Pittsburg State University and has taught German and French in the public schools of Missouri and Kansas.

Mrs. Sarah Roach has been appointed to teach Latin, Greek, and Classical Mythology at Wakefield. A 1976 graduate of Mary Washington College, Mrs. Roach has taught Latin previously at the Colonial High School in Virginia Beach.

Wakefield’s new Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Marguerite Tuthill, is a 1950 graduate of Whittier College in California. She has taught pre-school. Kindergarten, and primary grades for over seven years in California and Maryland. While living in Japan for six years, Mrs. Tuthill taught Kindergarten at the U. S. Naval base at Yokosuka and English to Japanese high school students. New courses being offered at Wakefield include German, elementary Logic for students in grades 3-7, IPS Science fir grade 8, Biology (BSCS) II, Classical Mythology, Drivers Education and Typing for the College Bound Student.
