After the selection by acclamation of John Warner to run for Virginia’s Senate seat, Mrs. Carney joined other local Republican chairmen at a reception with receiving line that included candidate Warner, his wife Elizabeth Taylor Warner, Governor John Dalton, former U.S. Representative Joel T. Broyhill and Attorney General and Mrs. Marshall Coleman. Afterwards, Mrs. Carney attended a gettogether at the home of the Attorney General and his wife Nikki.
School Fees
Parents and students in grades kindergarten through seven are urged to visit the elementary school on Friday, August 25, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. to meet teachers, pay school fees and locate homerooms. Fees for kindergarten through seventh grade will be SI2 and special education fees are $8.50. Charges do not include workbooks which will be available for purchase as needed.
