The total realized from the 1978 American Red Cross fund campaign in Rappahannock was $1,700. According to Campaign Chairman Lt. Gen. Hugh M. Exton, this is greater than any year recorded and is the result of the fine efforts of field coordinators Mrs. Robert Jordan of Flint Hill and Mrs. Roberta Jackson of Boston and the following campaign workers: Mrs. Lillian Aylor, Mrs. Rachel Aylor, Mrs. Marilyn Bailey and Mrs. Mabel Glasker, all of Washington; Mrs. Will Brown, Flint Hill; Mrs. Pearl Clarke and Mrs. Carolyn Doub, Amissville; Mrs. Jane Herndon and Mrs. Bessie Grigsby, Sperryville.
‘‘The generous contributions of the' citizens of the county, of course, was a factor in the campaign's success, also, said Exton, who added that all of the effort, time and money was appreciated.
