Two thousand dollars has been budgeted for community service projects during the coming year by the Rappahannock Lions Club.
Following approval of the largest budget in the club's 20-year history, president Howdy Holschuh announced plans to bring the Mobile Sight and Hearing Screening van back to Rappahannock County this year to help citizens detect vision and hearing defects in time ft) begin prevention programs. The unit will be available to screen both adults and school children alike. Holschuh said the Lions will assist needy county residents who cannot afford to buy their own eye glasses or hearing aids following the screening.
