Death Ruled
Suicide
The death of Wayne Lowell Thomas of Chantilly in a Sperryville motel was ruled suicide by Trooper H.A. Newlin who investigated it Sunday. Thomas, 33, had checked into the motel operated by Mrs. Ona Smith on Friday. On Saturday he paid for another night’s lodging and when he had not left in the late afternoon Sunday the officer was summoned.
Newlin said there was no indication of foul play in case. Thomas was shot through the forehead with a small calibre gun. He left two letters, one to his father and one to his employer.
