Senior Play

(Note: The following is .a brief sketch of a scene from the Rappahannock County High School’s senior class play, "The Curious Savage.” It will be presented February 16 and 17 at 8 p.m. in the high school auditorium.)
Late Wednesday night, Miss Lily Bell Savage, heiress to a third of the Savage estate, was caught inside the Museum of Natural History. She was found in the Department of Icthiology with a razor blade in one hand and a roll of scotch tape in the other.
Alerted by the night watchman, police arrived immediately at the scene. They were surprised to find Lily Bell cutting into the side of a stuffed porpoise on display. When asked what she was dping, Miss Lily Bell responded with a quick bite to the law officer’s hand, seriously injuring him.
After finally quieting the woman down, the police took a statement from her. She claimed to be looking for $10 million. She was immediately released.
Church Notice
The topic of the sermon for Sunday at the Amissville United Methodist Church is “Persistent Prayer”. The worship service is at 11 a.m. preceded by Sunday School at 10. Bible Study is held Sunday evening at 7:30.
Auto Burned
A 1974 Pontiac Grand Prix owned by Donnell Carter of near Flint Hill, was stolen from in front of a home on Route 645 near Amissville Saturday night. The car was later found totally destroyed by fire in Old Hollow near Sperryville.
State Police Investigator Thomas Galloway is investigating the fire which is believed to be arson.
