Settle
Walter Hamilton Settle Sr., 83, of 108 Charles St., Front Royal, died Sunday, January 28, at Warren Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held January 30, from the Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal conducted by the Rev. Jerry Young. Burial was in Panorama Memorial Gardens, Waterlick.
Mr. Settle was bom Dec. 21, 18% at Culpeper County, son of the late Milton and Laura Whorton Settle. His wife, Carrie E. Settle, predeceased him.
Surviving are seven sons, Carroll Settle, Luther L. Settle, Wilton B. Settle, Walter H. Settle Jr. and Arthur B. Settle all of Front Royal, Allen B. Settle of Alexandria and Cecil R. Settle of Fairfax; four daughters, Elizabeth S. Mitchell and Edna S. Vaught, both of Front Royal,, Mildred S. Byers of Manassas and Camilla S. Ogint of Meriden, Conn.; one sister, Mrs. Laura Scroggins of Washington, Va.; 23 grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren.
