At a special meeting on Thursday. January 25. the Rappahannock Planning Commission voted unanimously to report to the county supervisors that C.L. Goode’s proposed Mountain Slopes subdivision does not substantially comply with provisions of the subdivision ordinance.
The planners based their conclusion primarily on figures supplied by county engineer Fanning Baumgardner. According to Baumgardner’s data, eight of the proposed five-acre lots in the 14-lot development have slopes in excess of 14 per cent grade. The county subdivision ordinance allows
