During the 1978-79 fiscal year just ended, the Rappahannock Welfare Department spent $125,825—nearly $48,000 less than the maximuir allowed in the department’s state approved budget.
At last Friday’s Welfan Board meeting, social ser vices director Elizabeth Buntin reported that the department had alsc managed to hold ex penditures of local mone\ below the maximum allowed for last year.
According to Mrs. Buntin the 1978-79 budget approvec by the supervisors includec $37,629 in local money bu only $27,700 actually wai spent.
