toward Sherman Nicholson Sr., 74, of Stephens City died July IS, 1979, in Winchester Memorial Hospital. He w£s a native of Madison County, a son of the late Ephriam B. and Patsy A. Corbin Nicholson. He was a retired {elf-employed stonemason.
Curtis
Services for John Webster Curtis, 66, of Lignum were conducted Saturday at Clore Funeral Home Chapel, Culpeper, by the Rev. F. B. LeSuer. Burial was in Lael Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Curtis died Thursday, July 19, 1979, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital after several months illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Culpeper, the son of Mrs. Nora Weedon Curtis of Lignum and the late Chancellor Curtis.
Mr. Curtis was a retired carpenter, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cynthia Mae Curtis of Lignum; three sons, John Curtis of Fredericksburg, Anthony Curtis of Washington, Va. and Paul Curtis of Lignum; a daughter. Miss Jennie Curtis, USAF, Ft. Meade, Md.; six brothers, Harold Curtis of Florida, Russell Curtis of Reston, Stanley Curtis of Oxon ,Hill, Md., Willard Curtis of Washington, D. C., George Curtis of Blacksburg and Ashton Curtis of Maryland; and two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Schlaugh of Maryland and Mrs. Jean Dawson of New Jersey.
