The marriage ot Miss Linda Roberts Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Oliver Smith of North Garden, and Charles Clayton Litten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Litten of Richmond, was solemnized Saturday. July 21, in Trinity United Methodist Church, North Garden.
The Rev. Marvin C. Cook of Culpeper and the Rev. Robert H. Lawrence, former pastor of the church, of ficiated at the double ring ceremony and Holy Communion.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a gown of candlelight silk chiffonette featuring a Queen Anne neckline and full bishop sleeves. Imported Alencon lace touched with tiny pearls accented the empire bodice, the neckline and sleeves.
Her chapel-length matilla of English silk illusion was edged with Alencon lace and accented by lace appliques. She carried an ivory prayer book topped with white roses and mixed daisies.
