“We’re playing with the budget like it was some kid’s toy,” charged Robert Eastham at Tuesday night’s meeting of the Rappahannock School Board.
During the scheduled review of expenditures to date in the 1979-80 budget, Eastham questioned deficits in specific line items.
Describing himself as “a simple farm boy,’’ he asked why expenditures in buildings and grounds and maintenance of school plants were over the amount budgeted in those two categories only two months into the current fiscal year.
