A truck driver who failed to stop for a stop sign Tuesday night crashed into a house in Flint Hill, damaging the structure. The occupants, at that time, three children, were not injured.
According to Trooper R. A. Baines, Lewis Allen Steele of Flint Hill, operating a 1968 Ford truck pulling a trailer loaded with hot tubs from Rappahannock Cooperage in Flint Hill, failed to stop at the intersection of Routes 641 and -522.
Steele surged across the highway and plunged into a house owned by Mr. and Mrs. Donald Pricer, said Baines. The living room area of the house was damaged.
The Pricer children and a friend who were in the rear of the house were not injured, according to the officer.
Steele was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving by Baines, who estimated damage to the truck at $300.
Goldie Williams of Chester Gap sustained injuries in a single vehicle crash which occurred Monday evening on Route 522 north of Flint Hill, according to Trooper C. A.
