The Rappahannock Unit of the American Cancer Society deserves the thanks of parents throughout the county. Cancer Society volunteers, in support of the Great American SmokeOut on November 15, brought programs into the schools trying to educate YOUR children on the dangers of smoking.
Jim McGarvey from the Rappahannock Mental Health Clinic, an ex-smoker himself, carried the message to the elementary school and to Wakefield Country Day School. Dr. Werber Krebser took time off from his medical practice at the Rappahannock Clinic to spread the word on the dangers of cigarettes to the students at RCHS.
