the Company in any such suit or proceeding at the cost of the Town.
SECTION 7. The Company or its agents shall have the authority to trim trees upon or overhanging the streets, alleys, walkways or rights of way to prevent the branches of such trees from interfering ■ with its lines or other facilities. All such trimmings shall be performed in a safe and orderly manner and, to the extent practicable for the proper maintenance and use of the Company's lines or other facilities, in compliance with the pruning standards of the National Arborists Association as in effect from time to time.
SECTION 8. As additional consideration for the rights and privileges herein granted, the Company agrees to provide free local telephone service to the Fire Department of the Town of Washington for the period of this franchise. Such local telephone service shall consist of the type of telephone service provided by the Company to the Town of Washington prior to the date this franchise is awarded to the Company.
SECTION 9. That said Company before proceeding to act under this ordinance shall execute a bond in the penal sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) with security to be apDroved bv the Town's
