The planners reviewed the draft chapter on goals and objections for the county’s first comprehensive plan at a special work session held Wednesday, January 9.
Major disagreement came only on whether the plan should encourage cluster development to protect farm land or continue to rely on economic controls of large lot zoning to preserve the county’s agricultural land, forests and open space.
"We'd better go over each of these with a fine tooth comb," suggested Newbill Miller in reviewing the list of goals. “This is the one we can get hung on.”
