Mike Leake connected first for Rappahannock thr minutes into the second ha The game continued to move slowly with the score only 16 11 at the end of the third period.
The teams began the fourth quarter with the same uninspired play that marked the preceeding quarters.
Glenn Fletcher scored first for Rappahannock with two shots from the foul line. Then the Panthers gave the game away with six turnovers. The Rams took advantage of the golden opportunites and edged ahead 22-21 with a minute and six seconds left.
With five seconds on the clock the score was still 2221. Mike Leake came to the foul line to shoot one and one. The foul was greath disputed. To everyone but tin referee making the call, it looked like a two shot foul. Leake missed and Strasburg won 22-21.
