Please accept my belated but sincere thanks fdr your editorial calling attention to the financial situation of the Washington Volunteer Fire Department and urging the community’s support.
In these inflationary times, when our costs, like everyone else's. are rising and it is all we can do to meet our bills, it is good to know that we have the support of the Rappahannock News. I am sure that' the editorial played a part in the success of our recent funds drive, which has so far raised nearly $2000.
We are also grateful for the cooperation and help you have given us in publicizing fund raising events and reporting news of the WVFD to the community. Your help is important to us in keeping the community's support, and 1 want you to know that we appreciate it.
