The supervisor chairman added that if the school board studied capital outlay needs and decided it didn't want an expansion program, “that's fine. But we want hard, cold reasons (defending the decision), something other than you don't like it." he said. "Sometimes we don’t like the law cither but we’re all sitting in a position where we have to obey." he stated.
Supervisor Dick Latham's motion to ask for a capital improvements progress report within 90 days or sooner passed unanimously with no further discussion.

‘‘That was a pretty scathing attack on the school board. Frankly. I don't think we deserve it." stated New bill Miller. He noted that of the live-member board, he has attended three meetings. Nancy Reeve two meetings and Nelson Lane only one meeting. "You tarred us all with the same stick.” he maintained.
As to the board's three and four hour executive sessions. Miller said that since he'd been on the school board, nothing improper had ever been discussed in the private, bchind-closed-door meetings. Addressing capital improvements. he maintained that the new board members were just getting their feet on the ground.
