With elections just a week away, Republican gubernatorial candidate Marshall Coleman has turned the tables on his Democratic opponent Chuck Robb in Rappahannock County, according to the results of a pre-election telephone survey conducted Monday evening.
A Rappahannock News poll of four percent of the county’s registered voters ;!Shows Coleman in front with support from 48 percent of those surveyed compared to 38 percent for Robb and 14 percent undecided.
Coleman’s lead is a reversal of the outcome of an earlier poll taken October 5 which found Robb ahead with 48 percent and Coleman trailing with 35 percent.
In the other two statewide races, Republicans Nathan Miller and Wyatt Durrette have maintained their leads here in the contests for lieutenant . governor and attorney general.
