Virginia Community and Economic Development Block Grants may prove to be an additional source of funds for the long delayed Sperryville sewer project.
According to John Capelle, eiecutive director of the Rappahannock-Rapid an Planning District Commission. Sperryville may be able to qualify for as much as $750,000.
In addition, Capelle said, the block grant money can be used as the local share of $1.4 million in matching funds tentatively scheduled to be allotted to the sewer project for construction in fiscal year 1983.
