Robb could not ignore the pressures exerted by those groups and would appoint all cabinet heads, all department heads, and 3,000 members of commissions and boards with people such as Henry Howell and George Rawlings, thus putting them back in positions of power. In the past, the has demonstrated his vulnerability to party pressure when he supported Elmo Zumwalt, Henry Howell and Jimmy Carter (twice). Though he professes to be a fiscal conservative, he would be obligated to embrace his party’s big spending, big taking philosophy—hence no vetoes of budget-busting bills passed by a Democratic majority in the State Legislature.
I urge the voters to give very serious thought to the exonomic future of our Nation and our Commonwealth, and vote for Marshall Coleman on November 3rd.
