Bridge Club Meets

Mrs. L. B. Burford entertained the Flint Hill Bridge Club Monday evening at her home.

Prizes were won by Mrs. Thomas Massie, Mrs. John S. Browning, Mrs. Mary G. Edmonds and Mrs. Emory Russell.

Others playing were Mrs. B.J. Wood, Mrs. W. A. Moore, Mrs. Thomas Eastham, Mrs. Robert Eastham, Mrs. W. J. Curtis, Mrs. Richard Latham, Mrs. James Massie and Mrs. Paul Miller.

Bridge Party

Mrs. R. E. Thompsen entertained the Sperryville Bridge Club at Cab-Inn on Friday evening.

Guests were Mrs. L. J. Kilby, Mrs. Dale Metzinger, Mrs. Mary Quaintance, Mrs. Frances Tabler, Mrs. E. A. McNear, Mrs. T. J. Pillar, Mrs. W. H. Coddle and Mrs. Roy L. Reeve.

Prize winners were Mrs. Quaintance, Mrs. Metzinger and Mrs. Tabler.

Ladies To Meet

The Sperryville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will hold their monthly meeting Monday, November 2, at 7:30 p.m. at the fire hall. All members are urged to attend.

Dinner Nov. 7

An old Virginia Ham and Turkey dinner is scheduled for Saturday, November 7 for the benefit of the Amissville Fire Department. The event will be held at the fire hall there and serving hours are from 5 to 8:30 p.m. The public is invited to support this group and at the same time enjoy a delightful home cooked meal.
