Merger
The merger of F & M National Corporation of Winchester and the Suburban Bank of Richmond was approved December 29 by the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.
Approval by the Bureau of Financial Institutions of Virginia had been granted previously. Suburban shareholders will meet in late January or early February to vote on the merger.
Suburban Bank has four offices in the Richmond metropolitan area.
