While Barksdale’s house is assessed at $10 to $16 per square foot, The William Hoare house (formerly Peggy Clarke's) received the mr>re standard Hall assessrm varying values of $32 to per square foot per floor. This house is not brick but frame and stucco, contains only six rooms and two baths. The Nicole David house, also frame, had a Hall assessment of $52. raised by the Equalization Board to $60. The disparity between the Barksdale and nearby properties is so great that I believe Hall made a mistake. If it is a mistake, why hasn't the collective Board, and Chairman Barksdale in particular, caught and corrected it? Surely the Board reviewed its own properties with special care and attention to detail? If it is not a mistake, I for one
