International Arabian Horse Association (IAHA) National Championship 100 mile endurance ride. Participants were able to enter one or both of the events. As a result of the IAHA being held at the same time, some of the area's top Arabian horses were present.
The participants started and finished at the 4-H center just outside of Front Royal where they put up camp on Friday night. The runners departed Saturday morning at 4:45 A.M. with the riders close behind, leaving at 5:15 A.M. Friday was spent getting
